Who I am and where I stand

All of this information can be found elsewhere on my website, but with less than 40 days left, I want to put some things front and center:

  • As a small business owner, community advocate and leader, and dedicated volunteer, I understand how to listen, serve, and get the job done.

  • I will be a full-time Representative for our community. I'm not seeking this position as a part-time addition to a full-time career or a stepping stone to a higher political office.

  • I will provide all of the constituent services that you enjoy in addition to a written post to explain every vote I cast and why. You deserve full transparency on the votes being cast in your name.

  • We live in a beautiful community surrounded by parks and open spaces. Protecting these spaces, maintaining our roadways, and supporting the community services that we have enjoyed will always be a priority.

  • As someone who has battled a rare, life-threatening auto-immune disease, and who pays almost $1,000 each month to purchase healthcare on the marketplace, I will fight to ensure that everyone has access to affordable healthcare. I am committed to finding better options for small businesses, those who are self-employed, and those who are willing and able to retire but continue working only because they are not old enough to receive Medicare.

  • As a community member, I have been an active force in supporting our schools and fighting for education funding reform. Task forces and referenda are not the answer. Our children and teachers deserve better.

  • With more than 10 years of experience as a successful small business owner, I understand the challenges that we face and will be an advocate for those who support more than half of Delaware’s economy.

  • I am a responsible gun owner who will support gun sense legislation. We must have universal background checks and close existing loopholes (for example, as in the case of a "ghost gun": an almost complete gun chassis that is easily assembled into an unregistered, functioning firearm).

  • I will support a respectful and cooperative culture between citizens and law enforcement. Let’s provide our police with mental health professionals, addiction counselors, and others who can offer assistance and guidance with non-violent crimes while providing the community the transparency they expect.

  • We must establish a fair and livable minimum wage for all Delawareans that is tied to inflation to ensure that we do not find ourselves so far behind the curve ever again. We owe this to our workers in Delaware.

  • I stand strongly behind our Unions that fight to protect our workers in Delaware.

  • I am committed to protecting our environment. Our own home runs on solar electricity, providing excess energy back to the grid during the day and drawing from the grid at night. As a state, we must make better use of our resources and take a more aggressive approach to our Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS).

  • I will support a safe and secure Vote by Mail option for Delaware moving forward because it should be safe, easy, and convenient for every citizen to exercise their right to vote.

Best of all, I am supported by a party that shares my beliefs. That’s how you get things done.

Constituent services is only part of a State Representative’s job. They are voting on budgets, laws, and decisions that will affect every aspect of your life. Be an educated voter; know everything about your candidate.
